Another fantastic Shifters Unbound book

After being caged and experimented on for decades, Tiger is now free and he's found the one thing all shifters want, his mate. To Tiger, there's no doubt that Carly is his but he'll need to convince the human who has become the reason his heart beats they belong together. A task that's made more challenging when a secret group of soldiers are hell-bent on doing whatever it takes to capture him.

I had no doubt I'd love Tiger because he's the type of PNR hero I always fall for. Dominate without trying, gooey caring center under all the layers of muscle and scowling looks, 100% devoted to his mate (in and out of the sack), and has a history that tugs at even the most frigid heart strings. Plus he's a shifter and they've taken over the number one spot on my list of favorite supernatural creatures. A win-win all around.

The one who surprised me was Carly. Heroines have an uphill battle when it comes to gaining my approval but Carly had no problem doing this. From the moment she first appears and converses with Tiger, you can feel she's genuinely a good person who immediately starts caring about Tiger and his well-being. She's brave but knows her limits, sassy to even the mighty Liam Morrissey (which I was on board with), has a big heart, and doesn't run head first into danger to prove herself, which so many PNR heroines do. That last one was key in winning me over because it's the number one reason I end up not liking most heroines. Carly is brimming with goodness and no one deserves it more than Tiger. A truly fabulous heroine.

Tiger and why he was created in a secret government lab is a mystery to both shifters and humans. The Shifter Bureau wants to solve this puzzle and use Tiger for their agenda and they're willing to take any steps they need to in order to get their hands on him. Over in Austin's Shiftertown, alpha Liam is feeling pressure from his own kind to either collar or kill Tiger. I anticipated terrible behavior from the misguided humans but I was a little disappointed in Liam. He wasn't opting for option two but I could feel some animosity towards Tiger for something that's not fault and I expected more understanding and kindness from him. It's always a good time when the Morrissey's are involved but Liam made my naughty list (and not in a good way!) for a while.

Five books in and this series isn't losing steam. These shifters are some of my favorites and Tiger fits right in with the outstanding cast of characters. Carly makes an impressive case for the human mates and at time stole the spotlight from her imposing counterpart. Jennifer Ashley always delivers a captivating story and irresistible romance that I love to lose myself in and Tiger Magic is no exception.

Consequently, the author updates important debates in this field to clear the way for a socio-aesthetic inquiry through contexts such as the family, school, medical, artistic or religious traditions from which social identities emerge.

About the Author
Dr Cheng-Lung (Richard) Wu is a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Aviation at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. He obtained his PhD from Loughborough University, UK, in 2001. Since then Cheng-Lung has devoted much of his time to the subjects of airline operations, schedule planning/optimization, and delay/operations modeling, both through his research and also consulting for several major airlines. Cheng-Lung also publishes extensively in major air transport journals, such as the Journal of Air Transport Management and Transportation Planning and Technology, and is an editorial board member of the World Review of Intermodal Transportation Research and the International Journal of Aviation Management.

And so Luke begins breaking Rowan and his walls down, slowly and tenderly and maybe a little more roughly in the bedroom, but definitely without hurting him again. No matter how long it takes or how untouchable Rowan claims to be, Luke is determined to heal Rowan so that one day there'll be nothing between their hearts but each other's skin.

A insteresting Romance. A Great First work.

This book was a surprise! Despite the genre not being my usual 'cup-of-tea', it was recommended by a friend and I'm always looking to support new authors. The novel was more than you usually get with an ebook, both length and content. The story and relationship between Luke and Rowan is well developed and comes to a realistic 'conclusion' (if relationships have those) which feels natural and as progressive as the feelings one gets when working through there own problems. Also, Rowans specific 'issue' was interesting to read about, adding a twist to the typical formula. Most of all, while the book has its share of 'mature content', it was nice to read a romance novel that was not solely constructed on the foundation of 'mature content.' All in all, a good first novel by an up and coming author, id like to see her write in one of my more preferred genres someday, but from what i can tell, she delivers in this one all the way :).

Though only 26 years old, Luke Cleary has regrets, deep seated regrets that chip at his soul and tear at his heart. Coming out to his parents as a teenager was a drama of major proportion and almost destroyed his place in the family. It was an issue Luke and his father continued to argue about until the day, only a few short years later, that his parents died in a snow storm car accident. He was never able to resolve things with his father, including his promise given as a teen that he never, ever tells his younger brother Selim that he is gay.

Hooking up with red-haired hunk Rowan Nails is an intoxicating experience, partly because the guy is so drunk and partly because they are magic together. I won this book in a giveaway, although, it is one that I had on my TBR because the blurb was interesting. This was a difficult book for me to read. I enjoyed the unusual creative-writing style (especially evident in the opening chapter) but the story itself didn't hold my attention as I hoped it would, and I never really connected with the characters enough to become vested in their story.

Definitive research on a quantified and highly useful indicator

It was several years ago that I first learned of Larry Connors research on how Welles Wilder's RSI indicator's accuracy and could be greatly improved by changing it's default setting from 14 to 2. Since then, it has proven to be a consistently useful filter for the trades that I do on a swing trading time frame. Not only that, one only has to do a quick Google search and find over 10 pages of articles, discussions, and positive buzz from people who trade stocks, options, Forex, etc -- on how they they apply Larry's research 2-period RSI to improve their trading results.

With that in mind, I was excited to get this book as it advances that Larry's research by providing a trading strategy with simple and discrete trading rules. With a win/loss ratio of 74% to 76% depending on which variation use to apply for short-term stock trading, along with profits of 6% to 7% per trade, I'd say acquiring this book is a no-brainer for any real trader looking for substance that is all too rare these days.

RSI really can work

The 2-period RSI is a major improvement over the traditional RSI. In fact the traditional RSI doesn't work very well while RSI(2) does. This book explains how to apply RSI(2) to a trading strategy, turning an indicator into a complete trading system. The entry and exit rules can be adapted to your personality and the rules can also be adapted to meet the demands of your schedule - if you're busy use tight entry rules to minimize order entry, for example. But the most important contribution of this book is that it turns the widely followed RSI into a something useful.

A fresh and profitable approach using RSI

The 2-Period RSI Pullback is a mean reversion strategy that uses the Relative Strength Index (RSI) that finds volatile stocks in a long term uptrend that are experiencing a pullback in price. The RSI was developed in the 1970s by Wells Wilder, but the effectiveness of RSI is limited by the default 14 day setting. Connors Research has discovered through quantitative testing that a 2 period setting is preferred.

Even though this strategy is using a standard RSI indicator, instead of the ConnorsRSI, there are still other indicators needed (historical volatility of the stocks and ADX) to filter through and narrow the opportunities. A database is needed to scan the thousands of stock in the trading universe. TradingMarkets.com has a free market screener that should help with this task.

Connors Research delivers Win Rates around 75% with Average Gain per trade above 6%. This end result is impressive, but the trader will be buying the stock while it is falling in price, so this research is crucial to give the trader confidence because you will not feel like taking these trades.
